Anne Jan Toonstra (Groningen, NL) is a musician, pianist and singer.

In 2024 he released his debut album Rough Sleeper Rising Star. A dynamic, varied and richly arranged debut record. The release was celebrated with a successful show in Theater de Oosterpoort in Groningen.

The single Bright Night, was declared ‘Gronings Goud’ and was played daily for a week at RTV Noord. The album is to be found on all streaming services and available on vinyl.

Now Anne Jan just finished the production of his second album. The first two singles Sugar, Sex & Irony and Corner Of My Mind came out now and are available on all streaming platforms.

The album will come out in September 2026. It will be celebrated with a release show on Friday 2 October in Theater de Oosterpoort in Groningen.
